How to Copy and Paste an existing Database Record
Last Updated 5 months ago

This is relevant throughout PropPack.
In innumerable places it is possible to Copy an existing data record and then Paste it into a compatible location as a new record - changing details as necessary, before finally saving it.

Let us take an example:

  1. Search for an existing Expense you want to copy.
  2. Double-click on the grey Record Selector at the beginning of the line so that the record opens in Expenditure Change.
  3. Click on the grey Record Selector at the beginning of the line to select it and then press Ctrl-C or just right-click on the Record Selector and select Copy.
  4. Go to Expenditure Input and click on on the Record Selector and press Ctrl-V or just right-click and select Paste.
  5. The details will be copied (ignore any errors) and you can make changes before the record is saved
Such actions will generally work where copying like for like.
